Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Proxinotes collects, why, and how it's handled. We've kept it as short and plain as the subject allows.

Information we collect

When you use Proxinotes, we collect only what's needed to run your account and deliver the content you've paid for:

Account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign in with Google.
Payment information — handled entirely by Razorpay, our payment processor. We never see or store your card, UPI ID, or bank details directly.
Usage information — which subjects/chapters you've unlocked and accessed, so we can keep your subscriptions and reading progress in sync.
Device information — basic technical data (device type, app version) used only for debugging and app stability, never for tracking.

How we use it

To create and maintain your account
To process payments and activate your subscriptions
To deliver the correct notes for your college, course, and subjects
To send essential account and payment emails (receipts, renewal reminders)
To fix bugs and improve app reliability

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your information to anyone, ever.

Third-party services

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run Proxinotes. Each only receives the minimum data it needs to do its job:

Storage & security

Notes content is delivered through an authenticated, per-page image pipeline — raw files never reach your device directly. Each page you view carries a watermark tied to your account, to protect the material you've paid for from unauthorized sharing.

We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. If you ever notice something that looks wrong with your account, contact us right away.

Your rights & choices

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you
You can request correction of inaccurate account details
You can request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to what we're required to retain for payment/legal records

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain payment records for legal or tax purposes.

Children's privacy

Proxinotes is built for college students and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under this age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
